Simple gentle bouncing, especially in environments like swimming pools or on rebounders (mini-trampolines), has a surprisingly wide range of health benefits.

  • Cardiovascular health: Even low-intensity bouncing can elevate the heart rate enough to strengthen the heart and lungs over time.
  • Joint-friendly: In water or on a rebounder, the impact on joints is significantly reduced, making it a great option for people with arthritis or recovering from injury.
  • Lymphatic flow: The lymphatic system doesn’t have a pump like the heart, so it relies on movement and muscle contractions to circulate fluid. Bouncing is especially effective for this.
  • Bone density: The G-forces from even small jumps can stimulate bone growth, which is key in osteoporosis prevention.
  • Fascia health: Movement helps hydrate and stretch fascia, keeping it pliable and reducing pain or stiffness.
  • Stress relief: The rhythmic motion and light-hearted nature of bouncing can boost endorphins and reduce cortisol levels.

It's one of those deceptively simple activities that supports nearly every body system, including all the "happy hormones" that are released to energize us.

So let's enjoy these many little health benefit miracles together!
Beginning in June through August - Tuesdays 10am - 11am at Carol's Pool.
